Patterns & Programs

I decided to upload this section of my wedding dress, because while browsing the internet for some wedding inspiration, I read that some brides use the pattern in their dress as a design for other items throughout the day. Wouldn't it be neat to somehow transform the design from the beading on my dress into the pattern for my Mexican tiles? I'm not sure that it is possible or wouldn't be extremely difficult, but the beading does have a beautiful little pattern.

Below is an example of a wedding program that I found that I think is really something. Sadly, I can't remember what wedding site I found it at, and therefore, I don't have a link. However, a website for the company that makes this particular program is listed at the bottom of the photo itself.

Francisco keeps reminding me exactly how many months we have to go. It will be a while before I start keeping track.

Enveloped Pretties

I prefer just blue and white tiles, but these are pretty cute.

I found them while searching "Mexican wedding" on Etsy. Sadly, I didn't find much else of interest in my search (although a 'Dia de los Muertos 'til death do us part' wedding is kind of cute in a wierd skeleton kind of way).

On a different note, these International Christmas cards have inspired me to find a way to make them myself (if not for this year, then for next). They totally make sense for Francisco and I, as we will be sending cards to people in the U.S., Sweden, and Mexico among other countries.

It can't be that hard to print words on card stock.

The Closest Thing

This is the closest example I can find of how I want my cake to look, and it is extremely close.

I love how the flowers are placed at the top. However, mine will be yellow and orange and all sorts of bright.

Renae, I am making the Yule Time Bean Soup that I bought on Sunday, and it smells FANTASTIC.

Love,

M
